The public benefits provided by the marina redevelopment are;

Unassisted disabled access
More environmentally friendly facility
Main arm of both marinas will be open to the public
Main marina arms will be 4.2m wide and create an extension of the Rose Bay Promenade for all the public to enjoy
Creation of safe navigation channels between foreshore, marina and Rose Bay for community to enjoy
Provision of 160m of casual public berthing for small craft
Medivac and water police access for harbour emergencies
Water taxi pick up and drop off
Fueling, water and pumpout facilities available to boating public
Public and disabled toilets
Funding for Dinghy Storage Racks and other initiatives to clean up Rose Bay Park and Beach
Improved traffic and parking
More open water space for public to enjoy. It is very rare for open water adjacent to a beach in the harbour not to be obstructed by swing moorings; this will create a unique vista
